Widget Layout Improvement

The web widget is a flexible feature that allows users to find the device they are intending on selling.

I would like to suggest eliminating the “load more” buttons inside categories, I have a hunch that this is slowing down users productivity by having to click “load more” to find their device type, we should also add a little bit of context for the device that we are discussing.

Example, Mary is looking to sell her iPhone 12, she starts on the generic web widget landing page, She selects “Smartphones”, “iPhone”,

Then Mary has to select the “Load more” button again as her device type is still not showing.

Mary finally lands on the option to select “iPhone 12”

The widget should load up all variants to prevent needing to click “Load More” this could improve visibility and prevent needing to un-layer/dig deeper. Creating a more friendly and user aligned approach.

The next thing Once the user taps on the device they would like to sell, the widget then retracts, to a very basic skeleton with just the words “Sell your [Device] - For users with product images enabled, add that photo to this screen, to make a visual connection as a breadcrumb.

The “Connectivity” section seems to be missing a sense of direction, What exactly does “Connectivity” mean to someone who’s not in the BuyBack Industry. (i) Choose the carrier this device was on.

“For “Unlocked” specifically for iPhones, consider adding a tool tip (Settings > General > About > Carrier Lock (No SIM Restrictions) or (Carrier Locked)”

- Make Carriers Visually Pleasing to Consumers, There could be some hesitation around using the “other” tab, to some it may be seen as “My device is going to be worth less since they don’t advertise that they support my carrier. “

- Add the ability to show other carrier logos such as Cricket or Metro PCS, Boost Mobile, then just map them to the “Other” tab by default, creating the illusion that the carrier is supported, while still maintaining the “other” button.

- Prevent collapsing the widget before an option is selected.

- Storage Capacity. How much space does your device have? (Tool Tip for iPhones “Settings > General > About > Capacity)

  • Offer Summery Screen - Consider adding the Promo Code Box Here (it already shows when clicking “Continue” but seems like it draws attention away from it.
