Streamline Expandable Workflow Editing

I’ve run into a lot of confusion when working with expandable workflows like Leads, On Hold, and Not As Described. The Edit and Preview buttons look like they should let me edit or preview directly, but they don’t actually work that way. Instead, I first have to expand the workflow and then dig into each sub-flow (like Abandoned Buyback or Cancelled).

The problem is that this feels misleading—at first I thought it was a bug. It’s also not very clear why certain statuses aren’t editable, and the extra clicks make the whole process slower and less intuitive.

For example, when I tried editing Cancelled, the button didn’t do anything until I expanded the workflow, which was frustrating.

What I’d love to see is a simpler experience:

  • Remove the misleading Edit/Preview buttons for expandable workflows.

  • When I click a workflow, it should just expand right away to show me the sub-flows.

  • Make it so I can edit all the sub-flows from the same main edit page instead of jumping around.

  • If a status isn’t editable, gray it out with a tooltip explaining why.

This would make editing and previewing workflows much more straightforward, with fewer clicks and less confusion.

Request: Please streamline expandable workflow editing so it’s clear, intuitive, and doesn’t feel like something is broken.
