Currently, the system’s changelog only captures the initial "Send Email Mail-In Offer Confirmation" event. While the system is configured via Trigger Settings to send follow-up communications (including up to three re-send attempts), these subsequent interactions are not documented.
This request is to implement automated logging for the following email triggers:
Cart Recovery Emails: Log every instance an abandoned cart notification is sent.
Mail-In Recovery Emails: Log all follow-up prompts for outstanding mail-in items.
Review Request Emails: Log when the post-purchase feedback email is dispatched.
Retry/Sequence Counters: Ensure the log specifies the attempt number (e.g., "Mail-In Recovery Email - Attempt 2 sent") to align with the 3-time resend limit in settings.
Each log entry must include a timestamp and the recipient email address to ensure a verifiable audit trail.
Impact:
Customer Support Efficiency: Support agents can verify exactly which emails a customer has received.
Reporting Accuracy: Provides a clear "Communication Gap" analysis, allowing managers to see if automated sequences are firing correctly.
Trigger Verification: Confirms that the "up to 3 more times" logic in the Trigger Settings is functioning as intended, providing a technical audit for system health.
Conversion Attribution: Enables the team to identify which specific touchpoint in a recovery sequence successfully prompted user action.
